Have you ever wanted to try bellydance but didn’t want to be in a large class and haven't been able to find a small class that fits your schedule? Want to learn the fundamentals while still having fun and getting a great work-out?
Well look no further we have the class for you located at Tha Fae’s Realm in Abbotsford. Session 2 Registrations are now open!!
As Egyptian Cabaret, or Oriental, is the foundation in which Tha Fae have focused their studies; classes will focus on these crucial basics and fundamentals. As the fundamentals are taught you will be exposed to fusion stylizations and encouraged to test your creativity. The ladies of Tha Fae have trained with and have been exposed to some of the Lower Mainland and North America's best dancers and we want to share what we love with you. Our training mantra as per our mentors is "Fundamentals are Key" and that is where we will start.
Classes will be small, a total of 5 students per class and run in 1.5 hr increments for 12 weeks.
Classes run Mon-Thurs both day and evening times and are offered Beginner to Advanced.
Beginner/Beginner Intermediate 0 - 2 yrs
This class is perfect for the person who has either never taken belly dance before and wants to learn from the ground up and for the dancer who has been out of dance for a bit and wants to reawaken and feels technical focus is wanted at this time. Focus is on building the basics of bellydance while learning stylization and improv skill building

Intermediate/Advanced 2+ years
This class is for those who have a solid understanding of the basics of bellydance and the ability to execute such and are wanting to begin tweaking and building on basic layering and fluidity. Focus is not on the breakdown of the move, it is on building basic layers and combinations while working on stylization and improvisational skills

What will class breakdown be:
This is an approximate breakdown and will vary
15 mins of warm-up/cool down
45 mins of moves (3 - 5 per class)
30 mins of stylization/exercise building with moves done in class
What to wear to class:
Yoga or dance pants, BD skirt or dance skit
Coin belt or hip scarf,
Tank top, t-shirt, dance top,
Dance slippers or socks (studio floor can be cold in winter)
